Dominic Mariani has been a practicing journalist for 25 years. He has written and edited newspapers and magazines in both the United States and Europe. He served as a foreign correspondent for Universal Press Syndicate based in Rome, Italy for three years.

He wrote an autobiographical novel (In Search of the Deaf and Dumb Princess) about his experience covering the election of two popes and the Roman demimonde. He is fluent in Italian and conversant in Spanish. He received an acknowledgment for research and translation from Andrew M. Greeley in his book "The Making of the Popes. 1978."
Mr. Mariani taught composition, expository writing and media at Norwalk Community-Technical college for four years. He has also taught at the American College of Rome, Fairfield University and the University of Bridgeport.
He is currently the editor and a feature writer for the Greenwich Post and a frequent correspondent for the New York Times Connecticut Weekly Section.
He has written five novels, four screenplays and numerous stories (some published).
